This is a reproduction of the Sword used by Maximus in the begininning of Gladiator. The sword is almost an exact copy of the sword used in the movie. The movies design team created a beautifully and accurate sword of a sucessful Roman General with careful attention paid to the period and style of the times. The sword is finely detailed with a polished wooden pommel and a guard. This replica has been given a stainless steel blade for easier maintence.

I like the overall quality of it. There is a bit too much plastic for my taste. The blade is blunt with a flat tip. It's not sharp which is fine for a display sword. My biggest problem was the quality of the sheath as the leather line material is already frayed.
