Escrima / Kali Sticks

Originating from the Philippine islands, the martial art of Escrima emphasizes weapon-based combat. The most basic and common weapon used in Escrima is the stick, or yantok, usually constructed of charred and hardened rattan wood, making it light and strong. Practitioners of Escrima commonly start off mastering weapons such as the stick before moving on to master hand-to-hand combat.
